JGEEBILS (JOINT GRADUATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR BIOLOGY AND INTERDISCIPLINARY SCIENCES)

JGEEBILS is a common entrance examination in biology and interdisciplinary life sciences, coordinated by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research for admission in Ph.D., integrated M.Sc. Ph.D., M.Sc., M.Sc. By research and M.Sc. (wildlife) at various institutions.

Biology (Ph.D., Int. Ph.D. and M.Sc. by research)
There is no specific syllabus, and the test covers basic topics in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

M.Sc. Wildlife Biology & Conservation
The entrance test consists of multiple choice questions that assess skills in English language, general knowledge, logic, mathematics and statistics, and knowledge about wildlife and conservation issues. There is also an essay question on a conservation issue.

    SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

    JGEEBILS (BIOLOGY) exam contains 4 sections i.e. General, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each section has 15 MCQs. Question 1-10 carries 1 mark each and question 11-15 carries 2 marks each. There is negative marking of half a mark for each wrong answer.

    Duration of exam- 2 hours

    JGEEBILS (WILDLIFE BIOLOGY) exam contains 4 sections. Sections A, B and C contain multiple choice questions and section D contains essay type question. Each question in sections A, B and C carries 1 mark and the essay question in section D is 25 marks. There is no negative marking and question in section D will only be evaluated only if 40% of marks are secured in each sections A, B and C.
